10/28/11 The November 10 deadline for paying property taxes is fast approaching. Marshall County Treasurer Deb VanDe Mark wants to inform residents of the office hours and alternate methods to pay. Payments made after the November 10 deadline are subject to penalties.
Normal business hours are 8:00a.m. until 4:00 p.m. weekdays. However, the County Building will be closed for Election Day on November 8.
Other hours that the office will be open to make payments include: Saturday, November 5 from 9:00 a.m. until noon and November 9-10 from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Veteran’s Day is Friday, November 11 and the County Building will be closed.
VanDeMark said, “If those making payments by mail and wish to have a receipt, we will be happy to send one if they enclose a self addressed stamped envelope.”
A drop box for payments is located at the south end of the County Building. The box will remain open until November 10 until 6:00 p.m. and will reopen on November 14.
