Exhibits Sought for Open Class Building at 4-H Fair

4-HJane Yochum, Co-superintendent of the Open Class building at the Marshall County Fair is encouraging residents to participate in this year’s Open Class Show. The exhibit guide is available in the Extension Office at 112 West Jefferson Street in Plymouth or on line at www.ag.purdue.edu/counties/marshall, then CLICK on Family on the brown bar and scroll down to Marshall County Open Class exhibit guide.

Yochum said articles for exhibit must have been completed within the past two years and not previously exhibited at the Marshall County Fair. There are a number of categories to choose from including the Children’s Corner, Christmas at the Fair, Basic Crafts, Needlecrafts, Quilts, Clothing and Sewing, Foods, Food Preservation, Plants and Flowers and Gardening.

Exhibits can be entered on Saturday, July 12th from 8 a.m. until noon. Volunteers are also needed on Saturday. If you would like to assist call 936-5418 or Purdue Extension at 935-8545.
