July 16, 2013

07/17/13  The 4th Annual P-Town Cruz’n Downtown Car Show to benefit the Marshall County Humane Society on June 8th was a hit again this year with the beautiful weather and the large number of cars that turned out.  A total of 161 participants registered their cars coming in from as far away as Valparaiso, North Liberty, South Bend, Elkhart, Ligonier, Akron and Rochester.

The P-Town Car Show recently presented a donation of $1,610.00 to the Marshall County Humane Society that was raised during the car show.  These funds were raised through the registration of participants in the car show.

Along with the car show is a pizza sale to benefit a number of local non-profit organizations. A total of 976 pieces of pizza were sold in 3 hours raising $976. That money was shared between the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, West Township 4-Hers and the Marshall County Boys and Girls Club. Granny’s Crust was this year’s winner of the pizza challenge and was presented a 3 foot tall trophy.  The remaining vendors were presented with plaques that were donated by CarMasters of Plymouth.  All beverages for the event were donated by Coca Cola Bottling of Plymouth.

The P-Town Cruz’n also gave away two televisions.  The spectator television was donated by Young’s TV and was won by Jamie Fuller of Plymouth who had registered at the Marshall County Museum. The second television for the car show participants was donated by the Auto Park and won by Mike and Jackie Stevenson of South Bend.  The day was filled with a Silent Auction as well as door prizes that left many happy winner’s.

Members of the P-Town Cruz’n Car Show & Pizza Challenge would like to thank all who supported, participated and donated to the show and for the extra support from the City Street Department, Park Department and the Plymouth Police Department.
