Patti Dawson Fundraiser Huge Success

November 6, 2013

11/07/13 Nearly 400 people packed Christo’s Banquet Center Saturday night, all to help a friend.  Patti Dawson, long-time banquet manager of Christos Banquet Center, was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 breast and lung cancer.  She did not have health insurance benefits.

Members of the Rotary Club, Kiwanis, Lions Club and Optimist Club all joined forces with local members of the community to help her with the extra expenses that are incurred during cancer treatment.

Chris Kurtis, owner of Christos Banquet Center and Restaurant, donated all of the food and the facility to hold the event.  The wait staff at Christos all donated their time for the evening.  The bartenders even donated their tips to Patti. Steph and Scott Schuh provided the music for the evening. Many local merchants donated items for a silent auction and the Plymouth Fire Department donated their time, as well.  Bowen Printing created a huge card for all the attendees to sign and give Patti words of encouragement. The night was a tremendous success due to the generosity of this community.

Patti has three children; Jessica Dawson Luchenbill, Josh Dawson and Jenna Dawson.  Patti’s children and all of her siblings were at the event.
