10/18/10 A report on the 2010 Plymouth High School graduating class shows that over half of the students went on to enroll in a four-year college program after graduation.
Presenting the annual report to the Plymouth School Board on October 14 was Guidance Director Aimee Portteus and Principal Jim Condon.
The total number of graduates was 266 with 130 of those female and 136, males.
According to Portteus, 139 attended a four-year college, one attended a military preparatory institute, 25 attended a two-year colleges and twelve attended technical schools. Portteus said eight chose to enroll in the military, fifty-nine are employed and seventeen of the total is unemployed. The graduates also included five foreign exchange students.
Military enrollments included Army National Guard, Marines, Coast Guard, and the Navy.
Technical schools where 2010 graduates enrolled included Charter College of Health & Massage Therapy, Correspondence Berklee School of Music, Ft. Wayne International Business College, ITT Tech, Lincoln Tech, Northern Indiana Carpenters Union, Online Certification Personal Training, and University of Northwestern Ohio.
There were 29 different colleges listed as those where the graduates enrolled. The largest number attended Indiana University South Bend.
Others included: Anderson University, Art Institute of Indianapolis, Ashland University-Ohio, Ball State University, Butler University, Cedarville University, DePaul University, Franklin College, George Mason University, Grace College, Hanover College, Holy Cross College, Hyle-Anderson College, and Huntington University. Additional four-year programs included: Indiana Purdue Ft. Wayne, Indiana University Bloomington, Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, Indiana University South Bend, Loyola Marymount University, Manchester College, New Mexico Military Institute, Northwestern University, Purdue University North Central, Purdue University, Robert Morris University, University of Indianapolis, and Valparaiso University.
