Driver Arrested after Crashing into House on Pretty Lake Trail

10/18/11   An intoxicated driver crashed into a home on Pretty Lake Road early Sunday morning.

On Sunday, October 16th at 1:57 a.m. officers from the Marshall County Police Department along with Plymouth Fire and EMS were dispatched to the 16211 Pretty Lake Road.  Emergency responders were sent to an accident that was described as a pick-up truck into a residence.  Officer Travis O’Neal arrived on scene and located the white Chevy pick-up truck sitting half into the northwest side of the residence.

The driver of the truck was identified as 22 year old Zechariah V. Albert of Culver.  After failing a preliminary breath test at the scene, Albert was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Plymouth for a certified test.  After testing it was determined that Albert’s blood alcohol content was over the legal limit of .08%.  Albert also tested positive for a controlled substance.  He was then transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked in for Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated.

Albert’s bond was set at $2,000.00 cash for his release.  He is scheduled to appearance in Marshall County Superior Court #2 on November 11th at 8:30am.

No one in the residence was seriously injured in the crash.
