11/14/11 Members of the Marshall County Council will consider the request of Karen Richey from Purdue Cooperative Extension to increase the mileage pay from .41 cents a mile to .44 cents a mile when driving a personal vehicle to a meeting or mandatory event. Richey appeared before the commissioners last week but was unable to get a recommendation from them on her request.
Marshall County Sheriff Tom Chamberlin is seeking an additional appropriation of $5,000 in the vehicle repair line item for tires and regular maintenance through the end of the year. He is also seeking $3,500 in the vehicle accessories line item to put new equipment on two new cars.
Rich Ulrich, Superintendent of the County’s Building and Grounds is seeking an additional appropriation of $170,000 for the line item of repair buildings and structures. The plan is to replace the original windows and doors in the County Building.
Other agenda items include the Housing Authority Annual Report and appointments of Stacy Hess, Ralph Winters and Carol Young.
The Council meeting begins at 9 a.m. in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.
The Plymouth City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Monday evening in the Council Chambers of City Hall. The agenda for the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting includes awarding the quote for the Heating project in the Street Department. Reports will be head from the various city department heads.
The Common Council will consider an ordinance to amend the salary ordinance for calendar years 2011 and 2012 by designating the recreation/pool director from a salaries position to an hourly position and establishing an hourly rate for such. The Council is being asked to consider this amendment on all three readings.
The Council will also consider a resolution providing for a transfer of appropriations in the Cemetery Department.
