Community Support Sought for Pride of Plymouth’s Trip to State Finals

October 27, 2010

10/28/10 Plymouth High School set history last Saturday as the Pride of Plymouth Marching Band finished in the top 10 out of 20 teams qualifying them to go on to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis for the State Finals this Saturday. “The Pride” has made the semi-state for 2 of last 3 years, but this will be the first trip to the finals.

Proud fans joined in a parade of 75 honking vehicles as the fire truck led precession into town about 11 p.m. last Saturday.  Clapping fans flanked the downtown sidewalks welcoming the record beating musicians and color guard back to Plymouth High School.

It is hoped the community will join the Pride of Plymouth this Saturday as they expect another great performance with history in the making.  The PHS Music Boosters are requesting the community’s help in supporting the high school band as they make history by attending their first State Finals.

The Pride of Plymouth will showcase their award winning band as a community tribute at 8:30 PM this Friday at the Plymouth Rock Football Stadium.  The entire community is invited to come cheer on the band as they head out to the state competition Saturday morning.

Plymouth will play at 2:59 PM Saturday in Indy with the Class C awards expected to be announced shortly.  Tickets are available at Plymouth High School for the final competition new through Friday.  You may purchase tickets in the main office from 7:30 to 4 p.m.  Tickets are $20 for adults $18 for students ages 3 to 18 and under 2 free.
