Plymouth Library Offers Pumpkin Carving Program

October 3, 2013

10/04/13 The Plymouth Public Library is sponsoring a Pumpkin Carving Program this year on Saturday, October 19.  Children will have an opportunity to carve their very own special pumpkin for Halloween.  Mom and dad are encouraged to help and it becomes a wonderful family project.

The Friends of the Library supply the pumpkins and the child safe carving knives.  The program takes place in the Children’s Story Time Room at 2:00 P.M.  Computer sign-up begins Friday, October 4 and continues through October 18.  To sign-up visit our website (www.plymouth.lib.in.us) and click on Calendar of Library Events.

Reciprocal patrons are asked to register at the library and pay the required fee at that time.  The session will be limited to 30 children.  This is a very popular program, so plan to sign up early.  If the session is full, a waiting list is available.  If after signing up your plans change, please call and let the Plymouth Library know so that another child can use that space.   The children always have a great time, and it is a lot of fun for everyone that participates.

Children registering for the pumpkin carving must live (or their parents must own property) in Plymouth, Center, Polk or West Townships, or have a paid out of township card purchased at the Plymouth Public Library.  Reciprocal patrons are eligible for the program for a fee.  For more information call the Plymouth Public Library at 936-2324 and press 2 for the Children’s Room.
