Triton 2nd Graders Make Quilts for Kids

February 14, 2013

02/15/18 The second grade at Triton Elementary School made quilts in connection with The Quilt Story.  The children cut the fabric, sewed the pieces into squares, figured out the design, and sewed the pieces together.  The quilts were then quilted by their teachers and sent to the Downey Quilts for Kids charity.  The quilts will be given to children suffering from serious health conditions in hospitals.  Triton Superintendent Donna Burroughs said, “We hope the children love our quilts as much as we do!”
