To keep our students and staff safe, the Plymouth Community School Corporation is implementing the V-Soft Raptor visitor management system (commonly called Raptor). Raptor enables schools to produce visitor badges and electronically check all visitors against registered sexual offender databases and, if relevant, local no contact orders for example.
Raptor is a visitor registration system that enhances school security by managing the visitors that are entering our schools. All visitors will have their driver’s licenses, or other authorized identification scanned to ensure that the visitor is not on the national sex offender database.
Once visitors are accepted, an identification badge with a picture and the date of the visit will be printed for the visitor to wear. When the visitor leaves the building he/ she must check out of the main office and turn in the badge.
Raptor system will eventually be installed in all Plymouth Community Schools, but will start in Lincoln Junior High the last couple of weeks of school this year. We appreciate the public’s patience as we work through this new system and continue to make our buildings safer for staff and students.

1) How does the new Raptor system work?
Drivers’ license information is compared to a database that consists of registered sex offenders from 50 states. If a match is found, campus administrators and law enforcement personnel can take appropriate steps to keep the campus safe.
2) Why are Plymouth Community Schools using this system?
The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. Raptor will provide a consistent system to track visitors and provide a safe environment for students, staff, and other visitors. The system quickly prints visitor badges that include a photo, the name of the visitor, time and date.
3) Do visitors need IDs scanned when there is a large event at the school? In the case of special events at buildings, alternative entry will be allowed so visitors canenter quickly and efficiently.
