Red Cross Benefit Beef & Noodle Supper

10/05/10 Staff and residents of Miller’s Senior Living Community invite the public to take part in a win-win situation. They are hosting a Benefit Homemade Beef & Noodle Supper is Friday, October 8th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 625 West Oakhill Avenue in Plymouth.

“We are all winners in this situation in this situation,” stated Anna Corbett, Miller’s Resident Service Director. “Anyone who attends will receive a delicious meal of homemade beef & noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, a dinner roll, plus a beverage and homemade dessert. The community wins because the proceeds will go to the Marshall County Red Cross through the United Way.”

Carol Arnett, Fulton/Marshall County Red Cross chairman explained why benefits and donations are so important to the Red Cross.

“We want to help the community. That is our main goal. We will help in any way we can. We will do anything for the community that we are capable of doing. The Red Cross is here for victims of disasters in so many different ways.”

Arnett continued by explaining how the money donated to the Red Cross is used to help victims of disasters such as floods, fire, and tornadoes; and they also help people in the armed forces. The Red Cross holds local training classes in CPR, AED, First Aid and babysitting. Money is needed to fund all of these departments of the Red Cross. Anyone interested in learning more about the training classes or signing up for a class may stop by the Red Cross office located at 315 W. Those wishing to attend the Beef & Noodle Supper may obtain tickets by calling Millers Senior Living Community at 1-574-936-9801 or stop by Millers at 625 West Oakhill Avenue and purchase the tickets. Tickets are $7.00 and dine-in or carry-out is available. Tickets will also be available at the door on the evening of October 8th.
