Craig Injured and Arrested for Meth and Resisting

July 1, 2012

07/02/12 On Wednesday, June 27th at 2:14pm, officers from several departments attempted a traffic stop on US 30 near Tulip Road.  The driver, Renee Craig 37, of Grovertown was wanted for a parole violation.  Craig refused to stop for officers and a short pursuit ensued.  As Renee Craig attempted to turn north onto Tulip Road off of US 30 she slid on gravel and left the roadway on the northwest corner and ended up droving over a stop sign.  She then backed her vehicle up and struck an undercover vehicle owned by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department. The county vehicle sustained approximately $2,000 worth of damage with the airbag deployment and minor damage to the front bumper.

Craig was injured in the accident and was taken to Plymouth Hospital for treatment before being approved for release to the officer.

Officers found evidence of Methamphetamine within the vehicle and contacted Indiana State Police lab for cleanup.

Craig was later transported to the Marshall County Jail where she was booked in for dealing/delivering/manufactured methamphetamine, resisting law enforcement with a vehicle causing injury and resisting law enforcement-flees after ordered to stop.  No bond has been set for Craig at this time.
