Ride for United Way Saturday Benefits for Heminger House

June 22, 2011

06/23/11  The 10th Annual Ride for United Way will benefit one of their agencies this year.  Originally conceived to be an awareness ride by Cindy Rash, last year it took on new meaning as a fundraiser.  Once again this year the Ride for United Way will benefit the Heminger House Shelter for Women and Children in Marshall County.

This year the three hour ride will start at the Plymouth American Legion on East Jefferson Street at 2 p.m.  Registration starts at 1 with the riders meeting at 1:45.  The 80 mile route travels through Marshall County with stops in Donaldson at Ancilla College, in Argos at the American Legion, and in Bourbon at Journeys End with the final destination being the Bremen V.F.W. on Highway 106.

Ride admission is $25 for the pilot and $10 for the co-pilot and this includes an event t-shirt plus the ride party at the Bremen VFW.

Everyone is welcome to join the party at 5 at the Bremen VFW.  There is a $10 non-riders admission for the party and you’ll find plenty to eat including fried chicken, homemade salads and desserts, and snacks.  There are lots of door prizes and some great silent auction items including tickets to Indiana Beach, a Kameleon bracelet, tickets to Holiday World and more.
