Rockies Go Pink for Ounce of Prevention

October 10, 2011

10/11/11 Friday night the Plymouth Rockies took on the Goshen Redskins in the annual Ounce of Prevention Game to raise money for breast cancer awareness.  With the Plymouth players clad in pink socks and the senior’s pink Nike cleats the Rockies fought valiantly but came up short in a tough loss.

Prior to the game, the Indiana National Guard provided a blow up obstacle course for students to race through.

Oliver Ford presented a check to the Nancy Jaynes Scholarship Fund as Shelley Heiden of Heiden Creative presented a plaque to be hung outside of Nancy’s classroom to commemorate her life and work with the students of PHS.

Finally, the Rockies honored the junior football teams from Plymouth at halftime, while the cheerleaders performed with the attendees of their cheer camp during the first quarter.

Friday night the Rockies will head to Nappanee to take on the Northwood Panthers.  Listen to exciting coverage of the final regular season game on WTCA-Am 1050.
