Stockberger Arrested on Drug Charges

December 21, 2012

12/24/12  On Tuesday evening December 18th at approximately 5:15 Deputy Joe Giordano with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to US 31 and 11th Road after the Dispatch Center received a report of a reckless driver traveling southbound on US 31 from the Lakeville area.  A short time later Deputy Giordano made a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle.

35 year old Ryan Stockberger of Plymouth was seen driving left of center.  During the investigation field and sobriety tests were given to Mr. Stockberger which led to his arrest for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

A vehicle inventory resulted in locating several drugs and paraphernalia including marijuana and heroin.  Other items located in the search determined that Stockberger may be dealing in narcotics or had the intent to deal.

Ryan Stockberger refused to submit to a chemical test and was later transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, possession of a controlled substance-schedule 1, possession of marijuana with a prior charge and dealing in a narcotic drug with intent to deal in schedule I or II drugs.  Also seized was a large sum of money which is believed to be drug related.  Additional charges are pending upon further investigation.
