03/04/14 The Triton Elementary School Science Department hosted its annual Science Fair on Friday, February 21st.
More than 70 students from grades 4 through 6th have been working since November preparing their projects. Students have worked under the supervision of their homeroom teachers to develop inquiry-based, original research experiments. The students presented the outcome of their research at the Science Fair.
Students’ projects were evaluated by Bethel College Education students who appraised the students work. Students were allotted 10 minutes to present the highlights of their research to a judge who scored them on the merits of the work based on a 100 point scale.
The top 15 places at all grade levels were recognized with a Science Medal – They are as follows:

There were also four medals given for the top four overall best scores from the Bethel judges. The following students will continue to present their research at regional level Science Fair competitions held in Notre Dame on March 22nd.
