Senior Day at 4-H Fair

July 15, 2011

07/18/11 Miller’s Senior Living Community of Plymouth, Miller’s Merry Manor of Culver and Plymouth, and Saint Joe Regional Medical Center hosted the annual Senior Day at the Marshall County 4-H Fair in Argos. All area seniors were invited to the senior tent at the fairgrounds for food, Bingo and entertainment by the Hoosier Hurricane, Quentin Flagg.  Council on Aging provided free transportation for many of those in attendance.

The beautiful weather and the great fun brought a record crowd of seniors to the tent on Thursday, July 15.  There were many Bingo and Door prizes given away throughout the day.  Employees of SJRMC were on hand to give blood pressure checks and other health screenings.  After a free lunch Flagg came to the stage with his high – energy, one man musical show which included songs form the 50’s through the 90’s.  He sang hits of the greats such as Bobby Darin, The Big Bopper, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis, and many more.  Flagg surprised everyone when he brought Snaps, his ten month old Cocker Spaniel to the stage to show off the tricks the puppy has been learning.  During several of the songs Flagg took time to stroll through the audience to greet people and pose for pictures.
