County Police Arrest 2 OWI and Marijuana

  08/29/12  On Friday, August 25tharound 9:20 pm, Indiana State Trooper Jason Faulstich was patrolling on US 30 near Tulip Road when he clocked a 2002 Pontiac Montana traveling at 92 MPH. Faulstich pulled the vehicle over traveling westbound near the Starke /Marshall County Line. It was found that the driver, 36 year old Daniel Day of Schererville, Indiana had been drinking. The Starke County K-9 unit indicated a presence of narcotics in the vehicle. Passenger, Serena Day 36, also of Schererville was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Daniel Day was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he tested .11% on a chemical test.  Day was booked into the Marshall County Jail and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated.  His bond was set at $1500 cash.

  Serena Day was also booked into the Marshall County Jail for possession of marijuana and given a $1500 cash bond.

Both Daniel and Serena are scheduled to appear in Marshall County Superior Court II on September 11th at 8:30am.
