March Activity Report for Marshall County Jail and Sheriff’s Department

  04/15/13 Police officers from around Marshall County booked 208 inmates into the Marshall County Jail in March.  The number one reason why people were put in the jail last month, Failure to Appear.  Looking at the remaining top 9 reasons why people were lodged in the county jail, Operating While Intoxicated, Theft, Driving While Suspended, Marijuana, Probation Violation, Cocaine/Meth, Battery, Possession of Controlled Substances and finally….Operator Never Licensed. 

Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department arrested 112 in March…90 males and 22 females.  Plymouth Police arrested 60 people last month…42 males and 18 females.  Arrests by other departments included Bremen with 23…19 males and 4 females, Bourbon with 3 males and 2 females, Argos with 2 males and 1 female, Culver with 2 males and Troopers with the Indiana State Police 3 females and 3 males. 

Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated 68 accidents, 62 were property damage only and 6 involved personal injuries. 

Deputies had 95 case reports taken in March and wrote 193 citations.  A total of 673 civil process papers were received at the Sheriff’s Department and 722 civil papers were served in March.
