Museum Offers Antique Sleigh for Holiday Photos this Weekend

October 23, 2012

10/24/12 Once again the antique sleigh at the Marshall County Museum is available for Christmas card photos, or just a great setting for a group photo of the family.  Portia and Barry Wampler own this elegant 1870’s sleigh that has been professionally restored by a master craftsman.

Dress up the family and bring them in for a fun picture.  Bring your own camera.  The cost is a $10 donation per sitting* for a 15 minute time slot.  No pets are allowed in the museum and no shoes or anything that will scratch the sleigh is permitted.

The Museum will have a small selection of hats that folks can use for props.   You provide the camera and photographer and have your pictures printed at your leisure.  The museum is providing the setting and a time slot.  The photo opportunity is free to new members.**

The times and dates are:

Thursday,        Oct. 25,  10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Friday,             Oct. 26,  10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Saturday,         Oct. 27,  10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This is the second time the museum has arranged to let people pose in the sleigh for photos.  Be a part of fund-raiser.  Call 936-2306 and reserve your time.

*A sitting can be one or more persons grouped in the photo.  Multiple arrangements of groups should be scheduled accordingly.

**A new member is someone who has not been or is not currently a member of the Historical Society.
