New Sound System in the County Building

March 3, 2013

03/04/13 The Marshall County Commissioners have taken a step in improving the sound in the second floor meeting room.  Last week ESCO, the company that did the video conferencing for the jail and improvements in Judge Bowen’s Court room was asked to look at the sound system in the second floor meeting room.

It was determined the best way to improve the sound was to take out the two side mounted speakers and sound board. They placed 10 new speakers in the ceiling from the front to the back of the meeting room.  They also re-wired all of the microphones and added a brand new processing box.

County Commissioner Kevin Overmyer said Thursday, “I was a necessary project.  We have had troubles with the sound system for some time.”  Funding for the project was in the Commissioner’s budget.
