Starke County SCILL Center Recognized as Model Vocational Program

SCILL CenterThe SCILL Center in Knox, or its official name, the Starke County Initiative for Lifelong Learning has been recognized by the State as a model vocational program in Indiana according to U.S. Representative, Jackie Walorski. The SCILL center offers both high school students and adults the opportunity to learn Auto Tech or Welding skills.

Under the leadership of Jerry Gurrado and Ron Gifford, the SCILL Center has come alive with students from ten counties and local industries look forward to their students to fill local jobs.

At the recent Starke County Chamber of Commerce Annual Award Dinner, SCILL received recognition for its contributions to the job market in Starke County.
