This select ensemble has entertained on behalf of the Purdue University for campus, community, state, national, and international events, averaging between 50-60 appearances each year. Embodying the spirit of service above self, the men of the Purdue Varsity Glee Club continues to share a sound all of its own through one-of-a-kind arrangements in tailor-made performances for audiences of all ages.  The Glee Club is directed by William E. Griffin. The assistant director and pianist is Ted Arthur.

Steve Sanders, a 2008 Argos High School graduate and past Argos Dollars for Scholars scholarship recipient, has been performing with the Purdue University Glee Club during his four years at Purdue. Since this is Steve’s senior year at Purdue, the Argos Dollars for Scholars (ADFS) Chapter is hosting the Purdue Glee Club for a 90 minute performance in the Argos High School auditorium on March 11, 2012 at 2:00 P.M.  In addition to the performance, ADFS will be selling tickets to a luncheon prior to the event. This lunch will be catered by the The Loghouse Restaurant and served at 12:30 P.M. in the high school gymnasium.  It is tradition for Glee Club members to be seated one or two per table with guests for conversation during the dinner.  Dinner tickets will be available at a cost of $20 each which will include a guaranteed ticket to the performance. Dinner tickets need to be purchased by March 1st.  For tickets and show information, please contact Brett Sanders at 574-892-9881, Jon VanDerWeele at 574-930-1402, or Gene Cooper at 574-892-5960.  Seats not sold in advance, in conjunction with the dinner, will be offered on a first come basis at time of show.

There will also be a silent auction of items donated by various businesses between lunch and the performance. All proceeds in excess of expenses will be used to fund scholarships for Argos High School graduates. This is all made possible by a grant from the Marshall County Community Foundation and the support of many local businesses.  Argos Dollars for Scholars is a tax deductible organization.
