Hummel Arrested on Multiple Charges

   02/13/12 Last month on January 12th Plymouth Police Chief Jim Cox, Detective Sergeant Leo Mangus and Investigator Ted Brown were at a residence in the 17,000 block of Lincoln Highway in Plymouth regarding a theft investigation.  During this investigation, Stewart Hummel was observed attempting to hide a methamphetamine lab in the garage.  Hummel then ran from the residence and was not located.

An arrest warrant was issued for Stewart M. Hummer in reference to charges of Dealing in Methamphetamine and Possession of Chemical Reagents.  The bond was set at $50,000 cash.

On Friday, February 10th, at 10:15 a.m. Detective Mangus received information indicating that Mr. Hummel was at a business in the 14,000 block of Lincoln Highway.

When Detective Mangus and Officer Steve DeLee arrived at the business, Stewart Hummel proceeded to run from the officers.  After a short foot pursuit Mr. Hummel was taken into custody and booked into the County Jail with additional charges of Resisting Law Enforcement.
