SJRMC Announces New Plymouth CNO, COO

SJRMC logo_2013Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center (SJRMC) is pleased to announce that Tamara Awald, RN, BSN, MS, MBA, NEA-BC, CPHRM, LNCC, has been selected as Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Operations Officer in Plymouth.
SJRMC_Tammy_AwaldAwald brings more than 30 years of experience in healthcare administration, operations, quality and patient safety. From 1996 to 2009, Awald worked in a variety of roles at SJRMC in Plymouth, including Vice President-Patient Care Services and SJRMC System Senior Risk Management.
“Tamara’s expertise in operations, performance improvement and service will strengthen our ability to continue providing excellent care here in Plymouth,” said Loretta Schmidt, MSN, CPHQ, SJRMC president in Plymouth.
Awald comes to SJRMC from Lakeland Regional Health System in Saint Joseph, Mich., where she most recently served as Program Director, Hospitalists Services.
Awald received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Goshen College. She received her MBA and Master of Health Administration from the University of Saint Francis. She is a Certified Nursing Executive–Advanced, Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management, Legal Nurse Consultant and a Content Expert with the American Nursing Credential Center Registry Panel.
