Woman Tazed After Resisting

February 5, 2012

02/06/12 A Plymouth woman was tazed after resisting arrest last week.

On Wednesday, February 1st at 11:38pm, Patrolman Brandon Cooper of the Marshall County Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call requesting an officer to the 14,000 block of 3rd Road for a female who was causing a disturbance. That same subject, later identified as Lianne McNeil 29, of Plymouth had allegedly battered the resident earlier that evening, however she had fled the scene before officers arrived. When Patrolman Cooper made contact with McNeil she refused to cooperate with the officers request, and began resisting them. McNeil was tazed during the altercation, and was taken into custody. She was transported to the Marshall County Jail where she was booked in for resisting law enforcement, and was given a $1,000.00 cash bond. McNeil is scheduled to appear in Marshall County Superior Court #2 on March 6th at 8:30am.
