Afternoon Tea to Kick-off 2012 One Book One Town Marshall County

    02/29/12 One Book, One Town-Marshall County will be kicking off this year’s event with an afternoon tea this Sunday, March 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the Marshall County Museum.

The tea party that will bring you back to the days of hoopskirts and high society. Guests will sample Civil War era teas, sandwiches and desserts and enjoy the entertainment, “

Entertainment for the affair is “Reflections of the Past” with area re-enactor, Jill Van Lew.  She sings Victorian melodies, displays costumes and shares etiquettes of the Civil War era.  Tickets are now on sale in limited supply and are $15 each. This event is part of the One Book, One Town which has chosen Shiloh by Shelby Foote as their book for this year to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Shiloh during the Civil War.
