March 31, 2011

04/01/11 Annika Piazza, a member of the Wythougan Toastmasters and President of Plymouth’s Noon Toastmasters received her Second Place Award for the Division A Evaluation Contest which took place Saturday, March 26th in Warsaw.  She will go on to compete at the District level in Indianapolis, on Friday evening, April 29th.  Division A Governor, Richard “Doc” Brungardt presented the award to Annika.  Wythougan Toastmasters meets every Friday morning at 6:45AM at Christos Restaurant and the Noon Toastmasters Club meets Wednesdays at noon at the Plymouth Public Library in the Laramore Room.

Last Friday the theme of the weekly Toastmasters meeting was Spring Break and since some of them were not traveling, they decided to have some fun with hats.  The speakers choose a hat and described what they would have done on their “Spring Break Vacation.”  (Pictured from left to right are:)  Steve Weaver, chose a drivers hat that reminded him of his military travels, Jan Houin picked a beach hat and recalled one of her trips to Florida. Greg Payne, talked about his time living in Mexico and one of his “favorite” rappers while Charlie Houin shared his experiences having to play “tea party” with his sisters as a young boy.  One thing about Toastmasters is they do have fun!!!!!
