Triton Students Learn About Energy with Roller-Coasters

December 2, 2013

12/03/13 Students in Mrs. Watkins’ sixth grade science classes at Triton Elementary School ended their energy unit by designing a roller coaster that would create enough energy that the conversion of potential energy to kinetic energy would happen. By viewing and building their roller coasters students were able to manipulate the slope, curves, loops, friction and angles to create the fastest and safest roller coaster.
