Triton 3rd Graders use Thematic Units to Learn

  09/13/21 Third grade students at Triton Elementary School are in the middle of an integrated thematic unit involving science, social studies, and health related studies.  The studies are now focusing on rural communities, dairy farming, animal science, and nutrition and health.  The big event, a field trip to Fair Oaks Dairy Farm, will be September 20th.  In addition to all of the classroom studies and the trip, yhe third grade teachers, Mrs. Strycker, Mr. Collins, and Mr. Kreft have invited three guest speakers to share their expert views: Dr. Ward Leeper from the Bourbon Veterinary Hospital (pictured), Nurse Geri Newman, a local dairy farmer and dairy program judge and coach, and Purdue Extension Agent, Amy Jones.
