SUV Drives in Home after Crash

  09/11/12 Emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of North Michigan and Harrison Streets Saturday just after noon for the report of an accident where the vehicle went into a house.

  Plymouth Police Officer Ted Brown responded to the scene and found one vehicle in the south bound lanes of Michigan Street and the other vehicle had driven up over the curb, through the lawn, up a flight of stairs and into the enclosed front porch of the duplex home at823 and 825 North Michigan Street.

  The accident occurred when 23 year old Michael Vladiff of Plymouth, who was traveling east on Harrison Street in a white, Honda Civic.  He was preparing to make a left turn onto Michigan Street and a vehicle in the west lane was turning onto Harrison.  That vehicle blocked his view and he pulled into the path of a white Dodge Durango driven by 34 year old Araceli Luva.

  CrashDuring the investigation it was determined that Luva had never been issued a driver’s license.  She was cited for the misdemeanor and issued a court date.

There were no injuries in the crash.  The total estimates of all damages in the crash were listed at up to $10,000 including the two vehicles and the home.
