Police Chase Down Carnegie on Parole Warrant

  02/26/14 Tuesday morning about 11:30 the Plymouth Police Department received a request to assist an Indiana Department of Corrections parole agent with the serving of an arrest warrant in town.  Officer met near 420 Webster Avenue to serve the warrant on 31 year old Victor Carnegie Jr. 

Carnegie fled the residence on foot and after a search of the area by officer of the Plymouth Police Department and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department. Mr. Carnegie was located, taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail. 

Mr. Carnegie was recently released from prison on parole and was stopped by a county police officer February 14th.  He was booked into the County Jail for Driving While Suspended, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Synthetic Drug.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely and allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed.  They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
