Wagon Wheel Theatre Presents Fiddler on the Roof

July 8, 2014

WagonWheel_FiddlerOnTheRoofThe Wagon Wheel Theatre presents Fiddler on the Roof, one of the most timeless and classic musicals of all time. It’s a story that celebrates life, love, and tradition. This musical will be touching the hearts of audiences and community members starting July 16-26 at the Wagon Wheel Theatre.
Fiddler on the Roof tells the story of Tevye, a Jewish father who loves his family and wants to protect them in a time of growing anti-Semitism. When Tevye’s oldest daughter begs him to let her marry a poor tailor rather than the middle-aged butler he has already chosen for her he must choose between his daughter’s happiness and his beloved tradition. With the universal theme of tradition cutting across the barriers of race, class, nationality, and religion, audiences will cry, laugh, and jump for joy.
Returning to the Wagon Wheel to play the iconic role of Tevye’s is Bob Miller. Bob is happy to continue his 23 year tenure at the Wagon Wheel Theatre. His credits include Edna in Hairspray, Fagin in Oliver!, Horace in Hello Dolly, and Chris Kringle in Miracle on 34th Street. Bob is “THRILLED” to be playing Tevye, a role he has dreamed of since he grew his first beard…. at 6 years old.
Fiddler on the Roof will be running performances from July 16-26. Tickets range from $15-34. Discounts are available for college students and on designated performances for seniors.
