The Ramada Wagon Wheel Theatre in Warsaw presents its second show of the 2010 Summer Season: All Shook Up which runs June 23 through July 3. You can also visit us online at www.wagonwheeltheatre.com

Over the past decade, a new type of show has taken the Great White Way by storm.  Incorporating hits made famous by Rock n’ Roll legends, Pop icons and R & B groups, the “Jukebox Musical” has found favor with theatregoers around the world.  Shows like Mamma Mia, which uses the songs of European sensation Abba, and Jersey Boys, whose score is comprised of hits from Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, a group closer to home, have made long runs on Broadway as well as numerous National Tours and large-scale out-of-town productions in Las Vegas, L. A., Toronto, Chicago and the like.

The Wagon Wheel is no stranger to the Jukebox musical.  Some featured here, like Smokey Joe’s Café, use popular music to tell an all new story, others like Always, Patsy Cline, Leader of the Pack and My Way, follow the Jersey Boys model of telling the life stories of the hit-makers with their hits played along.

When All Shook Up came to Broadway in 2005, audiences got the same kind of thrill from hearing their favorite popular tunes matched with an all-new story-line and characters taken from mid-century small-town America.  It’s no wonder, with tunes like “Jailhouse Rock,” “Blue Suede Shoes,” Heartbreak Hotel,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” the title song “All Shook Up” and so many more, folks found themselves drawn into the story from the very first note.

The production, which opens at the Wagon Wheel on Wednesday, June 23, will be no exception.  Audiences can expect to hear all their favorite hits made famous by the legendary King of Rock n’ Roll with all the soaring voices and brilliant choreography featured in every show at the Wagon Wheel.  Jake Klinkhammer, Troy Bolton in last Season’s High School Musical, will play the visiting leather-clad, motorcycle-riding roustabout.  Newcomer, Caitlin Mesiano will play the sweet-voiced, headstrong Natalie.
