Youth for Christ Golf Event

July 8, 2011

07/11/11 On June 23rd Youth for Christ of Indiana Lakes Area held their 6th annual “Golf Event” at the Plymouth County Club.  Guests enjoyed lunch at noon, followed by tee off at 1pm.  Intrepid golfers sloshed through a day of rain each taking their turn at:, not one, but four, hole-in-one shots.  One of which was worth $10,000.  Unfortunately no one took any of those prizes.  However, due to the generosity of The Auto Park, Teri Myers of Plymouth, drove home a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am for her “closest-to-the-pin” shot on hole 16.  That’s correct, they gave away a car.  The day’s event was rounded out by an all-you-could-eat prime rib dinner buffet.  If you missed it this year you may wish to pencil the Youth for Christ Golf Event in for June 21 or 28, 2012, date to be confirmed shortly.

Bob Beck with Youth for Christ would like to thank the Plymouth Country Club, as well as the many sponsors and teams that support this event.

Youth for Christ uses this event to raise money for the ministry of Fulton, Kosciusko, and Marshall counties.  They currently work in three schools in Marshall County and two in Kosciusko County.  YFC works with teens that primarily do not attend a church.  Their goal is to build relationships with teens, introduce them to other teens that are involved with YFC and then help them find a local church. They have seen many young people come to a faith in Christ, and then, along with their families, start attending church. You can check YFC out at www.yfc.org
