On Saturday, October 15th just before midnight, Plymouth Police were dispatched to 2619 North Michigan Street, the Holiday Inn, for a possible domestic disturbance.

Arriving on the scene, officers spoke with a male subject who had multiple visible injuries to his chest, neck, arms, head, and back.

After an investigation, the female party, 48-year-old Justine Anderson of Elkhart was placed under arrest and transported to the Marshall County Jail.

Anderson was booked on charges of Felony Domestic Battery and Felony Strangulation.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
