Sometime after 3:45 AM Sunday morning, November 13th a pick-up truck traveling on U.S. 6 just east of Kenilworth Road lost control and was struck on the passenger side of the vehicle by an SUV.
One of the occupants in the pick-up truck was ejected from the vehicle and thrown in the ditch, where another vehicle swerved off the roadway striking the victim.
Martin Bontrager, 16 of Topeka, IN died of his injuries.
The accident remains under investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department. Assisting at the scene, were LaPaz Fire, Union North EMS, TRI-County EMS, Bremen Fire Department, and Bremen Police Department.
John Grolich, Marshall County Coroner, was assisted by First Deputy Coroner Les Trump, and Deputy Coroner Ward Byers.
