The Mashall County Commissioners will meet at 9:30 a.m. Monday in their second-floor meeting room of the County Building. The meeting is open to the public and streamed live on the county’s website at www.co.marshall.in.us

County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters will update the commissioners on activities in his department and Shannon McLeod from Priority Projects will open bids for the Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Project.  County Plan Director Ty Adley will seek approval of two ordinances setting new fees and seek the commissioner’s approval of a moratorium on Utility Scale Battery Energy Storage Systems as recommended by the County Plan Commission. 

Also on the Commissioner’s agenda is Leah Thill from MACOG who will discuss the Brownfields Assessment Coalition Grant and Faith Freed from the Health Department will present the first reading of an ordinance for On-site Sewage Systems.  Ashley Derf from WIC will present the 2024 grant agreement and HR Administrator Jennifer Daake will present amendments to the Personnel Policies Handbook.  Marty Oosterbaan will also ask the commissioners to make an appointment to the Culver-Union Township Library.

The County Commissioners will hear from Attorney James Clevenger, the County Auditor’s Report along with Public Comments and Commissioner Items where they will consider the first reading of Ord. 2023-19 Restricting Home Address Access on the County’s website and consider a contract for Building Inspection Services
