Chicago Man arrested for driving in excess of 100 MPH on U.S. 30

A Chicago man was arrested on Wednesday, November 1^st at approximately 9:25 driving in excess of 100 MPH on U.S. 30.

Officer Schieber with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of U.S. 30 and Rose Road.

During the traffic stop, the officer identified the driver as 22-year-old Rosalio Villanueva of Chicago.  Rosalio was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail for a pending criminal charge of Reckless Driving. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
