Thursday evening, November 16th at 7:15 officers from the Plymouth Police Department were advised of a reckless driver traveling east on U.S. 30 from Pioneer Drive.

Officer Schieber located the suspected vehicle and proceeded to follow it.  At times he traveled more than 105 miles per hour. 

A traffic stop was initiated at U.S. 30 and Michigan Street and the driver was identified as Willivory Barrett, 43 of Chicago. 

Willivory was found to be operating the vehicle with only an Illinois identification card.  He was taken into custody for Reckless Driving and Operator Never Licensed and lodged in the Marshall County Jail at 8:20 p.m.  His cash bond was paid just before 11 p.m. and he was released on bond. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
