Marshall County Police arrested a South Bend man on July 2nd after they determined he was driving on an Indiana ID Card.

At approximately 6:30 Tuesday evening, a Marshall County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Deputy conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle as it pulled into the BP Gas Station in Argos. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 31-year-old Houston Anderson of South Bend.

Anderson was found to be driving on an Indiana Regular Identification Card with the status of Suspended – Prior. He was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked for driving while suspended with a prior conviction. Houston Anderson’s $500 cash bond was paid a couple of hours later, and he was released on bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
